Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival 26th April 2008 The local sections of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and the Ducati Desmo Owners Club, together with Bristol City Council, will again host the annual Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival from 11am. to 4pm. on Saturday 26th April 2008. Following the same successful format as previous years, the event will bring some of Italy’s most desirable and charismatic cars and bikes into the heart of the Old City. The streets will be closed to traffic, creating a pedestrian friendly zone where the cars and bikes, parked ‘Italian style,’ may be safely viewed. The event's display streets also feature some great restaurants, pubs, cafes and the Saturday market stalls. This is going to be a show not to be missed! Admission is free of charge both to entrants and spectators. Fiat will be the Featured Marque of the 2008 Festival with the a celebration of the 500 model at the centre of the show! We will mark the 51st anniversary of the 500 with a range of examples to span the years including some of the brand new Nuova 500 models. We will also feature a wide range of other charismatic Fiats of all ages to set the streets alive with Italian chic and design flair. Why not make a note in your diary to 'come on down' and take part in the best free Italian vehicle festival in the country? For news updates see: www.aroc-uk.com/gloucesterandsouth/ Entrants will require a permit. Space will be limited and entries are bound to be oversubscribed so don't delay! To reserve your place please send your name, address, phone & mobile numbers and vehicle details (marque, model, year) to: biamf@ourhemanpal.co.uk or telephone Paul G hanmore on 0117 947 5814. Historic Brooklands is one of the few places in the UK where you can see and hear exotic cars in action at close quarters. The short demonstration circuit starts at the bottom of the Test Hill where spectators can enjoy the roar of a classic Ferrari V12 or high revving Abarth as the cars prepare for the short 1 in 4 sprint. Spectacular viewing is also available from the Members’ Bridge where the cars run at speed on the restored banked track. The combination of car demonstrations, club displays, aviation and motoring exhibitions, and the Italian trade village make this a great family day out. The Goodwood breakfast club site - www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub/ is well worth a look for future events. |
